This is a very serious subject. surgery for acne, an elective at that should never be taken lightly and every individual should weigh the pros and cons personally after having consulted with a qualified doctor. I would also seek a second opinion as we are only given this one body this one life and one mistake can change everything.

If you fall into a category of people who have had or have the most severe acne breakouts without treatment you may have permanent scarring that haunts you to this day. One of medicines modern miracles is plastic surgery. While again I would like to point out this is nothing to be taken lightly and you the individual should educate yourself and make an informed decision on your own with the consultation of a qualified doctor. That being said sometimes no make up can hide or retin gel clear up the most severe cases of acne.

In these cases as mentioned you may only have one resort left to turn to and that is laser surgery for your acne. This is a very serious procedure and should only be performed by experienced physicians. Essentially they use a laser to directly treat and eliminate the acne at the source of the pore. The laser is weak enough so that no damage beyond the treated area occurs.

I can not even begin to relay how serious a procedure this is and how last resort it should be. You should also make sure your insurance provider agrees with you and will cover your procedure.

For some people this may be the only way to deal with acne but only after every other method has been exhausted first. This could open new doors for many people who once thought that living with acne was no longer a choice but a way of life.

In the future they may just vacuum our skin with a cocktail of chemicals which keeps it vibrant and clean and functioning properly no matter who you are. Until then we have the option of laser acne removal in the most of extreme cases.

Have you heard the saying that the best defense is the best Offense? Well this can not be more true in the war against dreaded unsightly acne.

Preventing pimples is never guaranteed but there are a lot of things that you can do to greatly reduce your chances of getting them. In this following article we look at some of those ways.

Be proactive and stay clean of oil and filth.Try not to rub it in your known problematic prone areas. Always wash often and moisturize every single say. Just think of it like this, you have to love your skin in order to prevent pimples. Sadly some of us though no matter how much we love our skin will still be prone to pimples, and as such we have to take extra measures for prevention compared to most.

Nightly deep cleansing ‘Exfoliating’ Morning creams and the occasional dermatologist visit are surely going to become familiar events in your repertoire in the war on acne. Do not fret though if you keep your vigilance and wash and keep clean and perform your daily maintenance you will be as pimple free as it is humanly possible.

If you find that you are unable to rid yourself reasonably of your acne you may wish to seek the guidance of a dermatologist and may even want to inquire about a prescription to help you to prevent those pimples. There are many prescription medications available ad some may clear your acne in a matter of days. It’s just a case of trying these things out if you get that far. You may be very happy with the results.

Most people will forget that stress and lack of sleep can also contribute to pimples an acne, so make sure to take a break from life every once and again and just relax. This will not only help you prevent pimples, but probably also premature hair loss and a coronary infarction. Keep your self well rested and stress free and this may be all that’s needed.

What other things have you found to be useful in your fight with acne?

The war on acne is a tough thing from the first adolescent memories of the first pimple before our first dance or date can be a haunting and horrid memory. It just doesn’t have to be that way and with a little knowledge we can help you get past those unsightly and embarrassing moments. First your going to need to understand that acne originates in the pores of our skin. Our pores excrete oils and fats to lubricate our skin against injury and infection. Sometimes while the natural process is happening a pore may become clogged. What happens next is what we all dread the most. The swelling and autoimmune response which makes it look absolutely horrid.

You have a few options, but I would recommend a multi-pronged approach in this war as we both know the only casualty we want to think about is the potential for acne and not our social lives.

First a bit of prevention, trust me when I say an ounce of this is worth 25lbs of maintenance. We are going to do both though to ensure that we have the smallest chance possible to have to deal with any acne.

Wash your hands occasionally as you pickup dirt and oil from all types of things and often times rub them right into your pores. Next use a preventative cleansing pad that is not alchol based as this could dry out your skin and cause even further damage than you wish to play with at this point. Make sure to deep cleanse nightly with an exfoliating cleanser to keep those pores clean overnight and wash away any makeup if you wear it or normal everyday grime.

Once a week you should think about a deep cleaning mask. If this does not irritate your skin a hot mask will help to get anything negative out of your skin and promote a clear face. All of this along with less make up or more skin friendly make up doubled up with some uv protecting for you skin will keep you and your skin happy for years to come and most certainly clearer than it is now.

This could possibly be the riddle wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in an enigma for the last several generations, and most likely several more to come. While their are many acne creams no two are created equal. Depending on your preference and skin type and whether or not your extra oily or dry with random acne will help dictate in which direction of the sales counter or dermatologist you ought to be heading.

Their is no cure all for acne many of the higher strength prescription options such as the retin gels or creams will most certainly clear up most any acne but at the price of extra dry skin or cracking or sometimes a faint allergic reaction. The less potent Salicylic acid can work miracles for the majority of the population suffering from mild to severe acne as this helps eliminate the bacteria and keep it from reproducing. These products are mostly the nifty little pads you swipe your face with. Their is yet another category of product that uses a sulfur base in its cream as to promote exfoliation of dead skin and thus less or no clogging of the pores to begin with. These would be your garden variety of masks and overnight creams.

Each has its ups and downs but even the doctor prescribed products do not always work so sadly their is not to date a magic bullet for acne. Constant vigilance and a good attitude with the knowledge that your not the only one by a long shot suffering with the war on acne along witha handful of multi-useful products should keep you as well to do in the war on acne as anyone else.

If you happen to be in the one percent or less that never needed the best acne cream than I am sure you know everyone else will have a bit of envy of you. Take care of your body through healthy eating habits, exercize and proper social activity and give yourself time to relax and unwind. All this with a few acne creams ought to make a huge difference.

While their are a lucky few of us throughout the world who will never have to deal with the perils and pitfalls of acne the rest of us do almost on a daily basis. Keeping hand to face contact down and making sure to keep your affected areas clean of surplus oils and dirt becomes a daily task in the war on acne. If you are like me you fall into the latter category and you seem doomed to deal with this issue well into your middle adult years. Their are as many over the counter remedies and cleaning or scrubbing solutions as their are sands on a beach. Most severely overpriced and sometimes do more harm than good.

One of the oldest known treatments for acne is actually the equivalent to a sulfur based mask or creme. It turns out even the Romans used sulfur or sulphur to help treat acne. Guess what it works surprisingly well especially if you are keeping your affected areas clean daily. I know you want to know how it works, otherwise you will file it away as junk like most of the other products littering the shelves and our tv screens and many popular websites.

First we must understand what causes acne. Sebaceous glands are very small glands which are essential for a status quo skin functioning. They secrete sebum which is a combination of fats and debris from the dead skin cells. This essentially will lubricate the skin against damage. This sebum travels directly to your skins surface through the hair follicle and out of the pore. Now in the instance of acne a pore may be blocked which will cause an autoimmune response. The bacteria in the clogged pore will irrate the skin and cause the ever infamous redness and swelling.

You can wage unholy war in a few different manners. You can attack the reasons behind the blocked pore. You can reduce the visible signs of acne. Sulfur comes in by creating an environment which promotes shedding of excess dead skin cells.

Essentially this is the most basic of acne treatments which can be the most inexpensive. Make sure to consult with a dermatologist before you leave any products on overnight unless the directions explicitly say so.
